Broadway Academy Talent School (BATS) is having our first OPEN DAY!

BATS Open Day: Dance Unlimited is a day for all you dance enthusiast and for those who would like to give dancing a try. For only RM10 you can try not one, but TWO different dances! You can buy as many coupons you'd like and you can bring as many people you'd like BUT you will have to prebook your slots as only 20 participants are allowed for 1 session. So hurry! Amanda merupakan seorang puteri yang berasal dari dunia maya sebuah permainan bernama ‘Kingdom Hill’. Baginda telah dihantar ke Kampung Gong Lechar untuk mencari Perwira Suria, iaitu penyelamat yang boleh menamatkan krisis yang sedang melanda kerajaannya.

Malangnya, baginda hilang ingatan sebaik sahaja tiba di Kampung Gong Lechar. Iwan yang merupakan hero Bola Kampung telah tersalah sangka bahawa Puteri Amanda adalah saudaranya yang sepatutnya datang melawatnya di kampung semasa cuti sekolah. Baginda puteri kemudiannya menghabiskan masanya beramah-mesra bersama Iwan dan rakan-rakannya. Tidak beliau sedari akan hakikat bahawa seorang anasir perosak dari dunia permainan maya yang berniat untuk membunuh baginda telah muncul di Kampung Gong Lechar.

Iwan dan rakan-rakannya bersiap-sedia untuk menyelamatkan Puteri Amanda dan kerajaannya daripada serangan anasir perosak tersebut. Saksikan seterusnya!

Repertory Theater Club (RTC) Auditions!!

Hi Everyone!!

You read it right, we are holding an audition again! We are giving you yet another chance to audition for a spotlight on the Musical Theater stage despite your busy schedule at work. The audition details are as below

Unorthodox Show Choir class

Last week (6/1/2012) we had the most unusual, yet interesting Show Choir class ever. We had a special guest instructor, Joshua Gui, who conducted our master class.

For you guys who's wondering what is a master class, it means "a class given to students of a particular discipline by an expert of that discipline" - wikipedia. Basically it just means we had a vocal class with someone who has expertise in vocals.

Unlike the usual "ma ma ma ma ma" and "do re mi fa so" vocal warm up, students were ask to hum and create sort-of a siren sound - while imagining there were papers  to pick up from the floor! The rational is to stretch their vocal chords - in a safe way and also exercise their stomach muscle so they can support their voice. "Unorthodox" doesn't even begin to explain the experience!

There were other different methods and techniques that were taught by Joshua for the students to realize the usage of the correct body muscles to support their voice. Pictures or it didn't happen? Feast your eyes!

Exciting New Year in BA - Dance Classes

We kicked off the new year by introducing our new dance class!

BROADWAY DANCING! 

The first class started last Thursday and it was awesome lot of fun! We danced to "Night Fever" with a choreography learned from the original Australian production itself!

Eventful End of 2011

December 2011 marks the time when EVERYONE in BA was running around all over Klang Valley to give out the best service we had. It had been super awesome, super fun and the people we work with was super great as well!.

Allow us to recap some of the awesome things that happen last month.

Gagaland 

This is the first time Broadway Academy took the task of producing a Musical Theater with non-performer cast! We had only had one and a half month to train the young executives of SP Setia to dance and act! 

Since these people were hardworking and committed bunch, the show turned out to be a huge success! Everyone was happy and highly satisfied with the end product.

So much that we still meet up to meet once in a while XD

Christmas performances in Alamanda and One Utama

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we sent our troops in to both malls to entertain the enthusiastic shoppers.
